I’ve been photographing sports and life since I was 15 years old and received my first Pentax K1000 from my dad. I studied computer science and IT in college, yet my part-time job was working for my university’s Sports Information Director, photographing athletes and developing prints in a darkroom.
I’ve done all the things: high-tech career in sales, support, and training for tech companies, full-time mom for many years (so proud of those two amazing young men!), nonprofit work for almost two decades—the one constant is that I’ve always gotten the greatest joy and energy from photographing people.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me biking or hanging out with my hubby and puppy. I love spending time with my family, and live for our winter ski trips and traveling to Colorado or California to visit my kiddos. CrossFit, iced coffee (with LaCroix—trust me, you have to try it!) and reruns of The Office are my jam.
My Mission
I know how empowering it is to have a photo shoot for yourself—I’ve felt that feeling and I want to GIVE that feeling!
I’ve had the chance to model for other photographers to help them practice their techniques and during the session I felt amazing—almost invincible— and like most women I struggle with certain aspects of my appearance, so sharing that “high” with other women became the purpose for my photography.
I’m all about creating art that’s edgy and bold (with a lot of black and whites thrown in!) within a fun, caring, and safe space. Helping women have that amazing feeling of strength and empowerment is what it all boils down to. Every woman is amazing, beautiful, and badass and deserves to feel that way and have lasting memories that document those feelings.
